Four Against Darkness - Generators, Custom Rules and Expansion Ideas

If you want a quick solo RPG dungeon delve game, look no further than the fabulous Four Against Darkness game produced by Andrea Sfiligoi and Ganesha Games. In it, you put together a four person party and roll to procedurally generate the dungoen as you explore it. The game is fantastic and I highly recommend getting it (it's about £20/$30).

I've put together a whole bunch of generators and ways to roll on tables, without flipping between the pages at the back of the book. The only thing that frustrates me slightly about the game, is the need for multiple sheets on your desk, covered in tables. That's why I've stuck some of them together for you to use. This is not to rob Sfiligoi of any sales, in fact I have purposefully not explained most rules or mechanics of the game - so you better have a rulebook to hand.

And the main reason for these tables and generators, the number one reason why I've bothered coding these generators... is that I plan on adding custom rules and mechanics throughout the game. Flesh it out - make it deeper - more involed. Basically expand on everything that Andrea has done, not because it's bad, but because it's all so good!

Generators, Articles and Gaming Tools

Let's begin... first of all you need to roll up your adventuring party, then your starting location as you enter the dungeon.

If you've already got that, head over to the main 'room and encounter page', where the majority of the magic happen.

If you need individual and specific generators:

And last but not least, I've put together a slightly more extensive contents/glossary page, for finding out where those rules are. Again, I've not listed the rules, just their page numbers and where you can find them in the rulebook (v4.0)
